Star Lake Camp provides the life changing experience of camping to all youth who want and need to attend.  Living with small groups in the woods is an opportunity to break from the daily stresses and challenges.  The camp experience is a place for fun, personal growth, connection with others and with the undeveloped land.  Our mission has grown to offer both Wilderness Camp experiences and United Methodist Camp experiences.  Our goal is for every camper to have the best week of their year in the woods.

For generations of camper and volunteers Star Lake Camp has been a very special place.  It is unique to have over 425 acres of land with the shoreline of one complete lake and over half of three other lakes undeveloped in Crow Wing County.  This is special space.  The real power of the space comes when it is inhabited by people who want to grow, learn, live and thrive in this environment.  Come to Star Lake because it has a great sandy beach.  Stay because you will find people who want to grow and care about you. Be enchanted by the call of the loon and the circling eagle. Grow life long friendships from your common experiences at Star Lake Camp.

Each summer 7-10 young adults are hired to be cooks, lifeguards, and counselors at Star Lake Camp.  If you are comfortable sleeping in a tent, working with children, and have a love of the woods we are interested in talking to you about working at Star Lake Camp.  2017 application is available at:, or
